Babylon Junior-Senior High School students had the chance to experience French language first hand when 12 students from the Versailles area of Paris visited the Babylon School District.
During the visit, the French students participated in a meet-and-greet, and shared a PowerPoint presentation on the life of the typical Parisian teenager, the structure of a school day as well as an explanation of how their government works with the school’s French and social studies classes. They also enjoyed a pizza lunch and shadowed members of the French National Honor Society during two classes.
The event was coordinated by French teacher Melissa Anderson and Jean Marc Emarot, moderator of the club Junior Association, 20 000 Liens Sur la Terre.
