LI Church Official Charged With Forcibly Touching Woman: Police

The 79-year-old was accused of inappropriately touching the woman over the course of 5 months, police say.

AMITYVILLE, NY - An Amityville church official was arrested on Tuesday for forcibly touching a woman, according to Suffolk Police.

The woman reported a man she worked with as part of a radio show produced at the Hollywood Baptist Church on 3504 Great Neck Road, touched her inappropriately on multiple occasions between April 2018 and September 2018.

Following an investigation, 79-year-old Thomas Humphrey, an official at the church, was charged with forcible touching.

Humphrey, of North Amityville, was issued an appearance ticket and will be arraigned on a later date.
