LIRR Holiday Express Returning For a 3rd Year

The experience includes giveaways, on-board festivities, carolers, and a visit from Santa and his elves. Make reservations now.

Now that Halloween is officially over, it's time to start thinking about the holidays!

If you're looking to get into the holiday spirit, you can now make reservations for the Long Island Rail Road's 3rd annual Holiday Express.

The exclusive experience turns the train ride into a holiday journey.

The event will take place on Saturday, Dec. 1 starting at 9:50 a.m. leaving from the Ronkonkoma LIRR station non-stop to Penn Station.

A second ride will take place on Sunday, Dec. 2 starting at 10 a.m. from the Babylon LIRR station non-stop to Penn Station.

Tickets include a reserved train seat for one-way, non-stop passage direct from either Ronkonkoma Station or Babylon Station to Penn Station on a holiday decorated bi-level train.

There will be giveaways and on-board festivities, including Carolers, and a visit from Santa and his elves.

Reserve your train seat today. Seats are limited and reservations will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

The reservation office will be open and accept reservations starting Thursday.

Information on how to get your train tickets will be included in your reservation email confirmation.

All customers that are unable to get a reservation due to the train being sold out will be placed on a waiting list in the order in which their request was received.

If cancellations are received, the LIRR will contact you to inquire if you still wish to make a reservation.

Tickets are $35.75 for adults leaving from Ronkonkoma and $33.50 for adults leaving from Babylon

Tickets for children age 5 to 11 are $1 (family fare policy applies). Max. 4 children per fare paying adult.

Children under 5 are free; however, guests must notify the LIRR of their attendance when making the reservation in order to secure a seat on the train.
