Man Charged With DWI After Driving Drunk In Babylon: Sheriff
The 34-year-old took a chemical breath test which resulted in a BAC level of 0.11, according to the sheriff's office.
BABYLON, NY - A Copiague man was allegedly caught driving drunk in Babylon over the weekend, according to the Suffolk County sheriff's department.
On Saturday at 3:20 a.m., Clemente Fernandez-Santos, 34, was driving westbound on the Sunrise Highway service road where he failed to signal a lane change, according to the sheriff's department. Officers also noticed his passenger side brake light was out and decided to perform a traffic stop, the sheriff's department said.
Fernandez-Santos allegedly demonstrated clues while performing standardized field sobriety tests indicating he was intoxicated.

He was arrested and transported to Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office Station 1. He submitted to a chemical breath test, which showed he had a BAC level of 0.11, well over the legal limit of 0.08, according to the sheriff's department.
Fernandez-Santos was charged with driving while intoxicated in addition to vehicle and traffic infractions.
