UPDATE: Police ID Man Killed in Crash on Sunrise Highway
The 53-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash Wednesday evening, police say.
WEST BABYLON, NY – Police have identified the man killed in a two-car crash on Sunrise Highway in West Babylon Wednesday evening as 53-year-old Alfred Bayard.
According to police, Bayard was driving a 2013 Jeep Wrangler east on Sunrise around 6:30 p.m. when his Jeep collided with a 2004 Dodge Ram that was also traveling east on Sunrise at the Hubbards Path overpass.
Bayard, of Setauket, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

The driver of the Dodge Ram, Nicole Limbach, 25, of Ronkonkoma, was transported by West Babylon Rescue to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where she was treated for minor injuries.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the investigation in continuing. No criminal charges have been filed.
