Man Wanted For Robbing West Babylon Bank

The robbery occurred Thursday afternoon. The man fled the scene on a bicycle.

WEST BABYLON, NY — Suffolk Police are investigating after a man robbed a West Babylon bank Thursday afternoon. The robbery happened around 1 p.m. at People's United Bank on Little East Neck Road, police said.

The man handed a teller a note demanding cash and the teller complied, handing over cash from the drawer, police said. The robber took off on a bicycle and was last seen heading north on Little East Neck Road.

Police described the robber as white, about 60 years old, and standing 5 feet, 10 inches. He was wearing glasses, a wool hat and a green winter jacket.
