Babylon Village Mayor Closes Park Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

BABYLON VILLAGE, NY — Mayor Ralph Scordino announced Friday that a local park will be closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Starting at 3 p.m., Argyle Park will be closed until further notice.

No visitors will be allowed in the park under any circumstances. Barricades will be posted and local code enforcement staff will patrol the area.

The park was closed to encourage social distancing as coronavirus cases continue to rise. As of Friday morning, there were 8,746 COVID-19 cases in Suffolk County. A total of 73 cases were reported in Babylon Village.
