Mentally Disabled Babylon Man Reported Missing

Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a mentally disabled Babylon man who was reported missing from the Bayview Rest Home on Wednesday.

John Kearns, 54, was last seen at the adult home where he resides, located at 143 E. Main Street on Wednesday at about 8 a.m.

He was last seen by staff members wearing a green shirt and tan shorts. Kearns suffers from a mental disability that severely impairs his ability to communicate with others, police said.

Kearns is described as white, 6-foot, 220 pounds, with brown eyes and is balding.
