Michael Devane Named Assistant Principal at WBHS
Devane joins the school district after serving as a social studies teacher for nine years in the Baldwin.

The West Babylon School District has named Michael Devane the new assistant principal at West Babylon High School for the 2015-16 school year.
Devane joined the school district after serving as a social studies teacher for nine years in the Baldwin School District. He has an extensive background working on numerous committees and curriculum writing teams. He was the lead teacher for the curriculum in global studies and economics and coached both football and baseball for Baldwin.
“Mr. Devane’s leadership abilities will prove to be an asset to our district,” West Babylon Superintendent Yiendhy Farrelly said. “We welcome him to our team and look forward to working with him this year.”

Devane received his advanced certificate in school building leadership from The College of Saint Rose. He earned his bachelor’s degree in education from Long Island University and his master’s degree from Stony Brook University.
