Police ID Woman Hit And Killed By Car In West Babylon: PD

WEST BABYLON, NY — A woman was hit and killed by a car while she was crossing the street in West Babylon Tuesday morning, Suffolk County police said.

Laura Bowman, 71, of West Babylon, was crossing Route 109 when she was struck by a southbound 2009 Nissan Altima at the intersection of Old Farmingdale Road around 6:30 a.m., police said.

The driver of the Altima, Erin Hancock, 23, of West Babylon, was not injured.
