Police: Man Cut With Knife on West Babylon Street During Attempted Robbery

Police are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred over the weekend in West Babylon.

Police say two men approached another man, who was walking on Little East Neck Road, and demanded money at about 1:25 a.m.

The victim refused and one of the attackers cut the victim’s hand with a knife while the other assailant struck the victim, police said.

The two men fled without proceeds, police said. The victim suffered a minor injury and was not taken to the hospital, police said.
