Positions Dance Studio to Host Celebrity Teacher
A season 5 runner up on So You Think You Can Dance will be teaching two classes at Positions in early August!
Positions Dance Studio will be hosting Ade Obayomi, of So You Think You Can Dance fame, for two master class sessions on Wednesday, August 5.
Ade began dance training/competing at a young age. His childhood credits include touring with Les Grands Ballet Canadiens de Montreal and the film “A Diva’s Christmas Carol.” He is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, African and hip-hop. Ade is also an accomplished gymnast, having being named the Arizona State Champion at just ten years old. While attending Champman University on dance scholarship, Ade auditioned for Season 5 of So You Think You Can Dance and became one of the top 3 boy finalists. His dance credits include a nation wide tour with SYTYCD, performing on the Grammys with Beyonce, Rihanna’s Hard music video, Alicia Keys Element of Freedon World Tour as well as working with such artists as Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, JLo, Kelly Rowland and the cast of American Idol. Most recently, Ade became a SYTYCD All Star and completed a 40 city National Tour. He’s gone on to perform with contestants on America’s Got Talent and X-Factor. Ade is also an accomplished, sought after dance teacher who brings his high-energy classes to studios across the nation.
Spaces in the classes are filling up, and participating dancers should have some dance experience. The sessions are both Jazz Funk and are as follows:

6-7:30pm - ages 9-13
7:30-9pm - ages 14+ (adults welcome, too)

All are welcome! If you are interested in also registering for fall classes at Positions, your fall registration fee will be waived if you also register for the master class. Refer a friend to the master class - if the friend registers, you will receive a $10 discount on your first tuition payment of the year. This special promotion will be going on Monday 7/27 through Friday 7/31.
