Special Visitors at Babylon Elementary and Memorial Grade Schools

Professionals Speak to Students about their Careers for Annual Career Day

Babylon Elementary School and Babylon Memorial Grade School recently hosted a special career day. The event invited more than 20 professionals from a variety of fields to speak to elementary and middle school students about their careers.

Guests included nurses, college professors, career and trade instructors, athletes, and police officers. There was even a pony! These volunteers offered their time to speak about their careers and choices, answer students’ questions about day-to-day routines, and outline the necessary steps to start on their respective career paths. The students, in turn, listened intently to the presentations, and some dressed in the outfits of their favorite profession!

This special educational opportunity gave Babylon’s students the chance to think about their futures and the different ways they can achieve their goals!
