Mrs. Egan is the epitome of an excellent teacher and student advocate. I have personally experienced her caring nature with my both of my children and I have seen it over the years in her classroom. Mrs. Egan is the perfect representation of the modern day kindergarten teacher as she ensures her students are ready for the years ahead through her teaching style. She employs the perfect balance of structured learning and compassion. She is aware of the needs of her students and ensures they are able to reach their yearly goals. Angie was a very anxious student and for the first few months of school would get sick either before or during school. Mrs. Egan was aware of this and did everything in her power to make Angie feel at ease. She helped build her confidence and due to her high learning standards Angie was reading above grade level by the end of kindergarten and she loved school. The foundation set by Mrs. Egan has allowed her to excel at Forest. Due to the strengths of Mrs. Egan we sought after her as the teacher for our younger daughter Gracie this year. A strong willed student – we knew Mrs. Egan would help her focus and push her towards what we know to be her best. Of course, Mr. Egan did not disappoint. She motivated Gracie to become an excellent reader and when we mentioned she may need assistance with math she advocated to get her math assistance and since then she has excelled. Mrs. Egan is one of the best teachers in Forest and she is even more vital as she lays the groundwork for the years ahead.

Congratulations to Ms. Egan!
