Teacher Of The Week: Ms. Laura Fitzgerald​

WEST BABYLON, NY — Everybody has a favorite teacher — maybe it's a teacher who went out of their way to make one student's day or a teacher who brightens up a classroom every day.

One teacher who deserves a shout-out is Ms. Laura Fitzgerald, a teacher at West Babylon’s Tooker Avenue Elementary School. She was nominated as this week's Teacher of the Week by Megan Rao.

Here's what she had to say about Ms. Fitzgerald:

Mrs. Fitzgerald is an amazing teacher. She goes above and beyond to make learning fun. She gets to know each and everyone of her students and makes them feel special. My daughter is currently in her class. She has been so excited by their current science unit on Arctic Animals. They have been done science experiments, art projects and even watched live feeds of animals. I feel that Mrs. Fitzgerald she be recognized for going above and beyond for all students in her class.
