Students Learn the Basics of PowerPoint, Typing

Babylon Elementary School students in Ms. Marinelli’s 2nd grade class had the opportunity to learn the basics of PowerPoint by creating personalized books cataloguing their favorite things. The lesson introduced students to the important program and allowed them to practice their typing skills, capitalization and sentence structure.

As part of the lesson, students created slides about their favorite animal, season, food and sport. Each slide featured a sentence explaining the student’s choice as well as pictures chosen and inserted by the students. After, the 2nd graders received a printed book of their slideshow to take home to keep!
