Trio Arrested For 7-Eleven Armed Robbery Spree: SCPD

The three people are accused of robbing six 7-Eleven stores across Suffolk in March and May, police say.

SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY - Three people were charged on Thursday for robbing six 7-Eleven stores across Suffolk County at gunpoint over the past five months, according to Suffolk Police.

Akeel Swazey, Audra Litwin and William Jackson were involved in the robberies in March and May, police said.

Swazey was also found to have committed another robbery last December, police said.

According to police, following an investigation detectives charged in connection to the following robberies:

  • 7-Eleven on 140 Little East Neck Road in West Babylon on May 19 at 9:40 p.m.
  • 7-Eleven on 56 Lowell Avenue in North Great River on May 19 at 2:15 a.m.
  • 7-Eleven on 613 Broadhollow Road in Melville on May 18 at 1:40 a.m.
  • 7-Eleven on 12 Saxon Avenue in Bay Shore on March 17, at 12:30 a.m.
  • 7-Eleven on 660 Montauk Highway in West Babylon on March 16 at 11:55 p.m.
  • 7-Eleven on 1003 Route 109 in East Farmingdale on March 15 at 11:45 a.m.

All three were charged with six counts of first degree robbery.

Swazey was charged with one additional count of first degree robbery for allegedly robbing the 7-Eleven on Broadhollow Road in Melville on December 21, 2018 at 12:50 a.m., police said.

In addition, Jackson was charged with first degree criminal contempt and Litwin was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Jackson, 39, of Amityville is being held at the First Precinct. Swazey, 36, who is homeless, is being held at the Third Precinct and Litwin, 33, Babylon is being held at the Fourth Precinct, police said.

All three are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Friday.
