UPDATE: One Dead, One Hurt After Stabbing on Long Island Street
An altercation ensued between two motorists Friday morning, police say. Police seeking a white SUV with out-of-state plates.

WEST BABYLON, NY - Two men were stabbed, one fatally, following an altercation between motorists on Long Island Friday morning.
According to Suffolk County Police, two vehicles were traveling southwest on Straight Path in West Babylon when an altercation ensued around 9:20 a.m.
Both groups got out of the vehicles, just north of the Southern State Parkway, and two men were stabbed during a fight, police said.

The two men were transported by members of the West Babylon Fire Department to an area hospital where Nyquan Banister, 22, of North Babylon, was pronounced dead. The other victim, a 21-year-old North Babylon man, was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect’s vehicle was described as a white SUV with out-of-state license plates. The investigation is continuing. Homicide Squad detectives are asking anyone with information on the stabbing to call 631-852-6394 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
