NORTH AMITYVILLE, NY - No injuries were reported after a fire broke out Saturday morning in North Amityville.

Suffolk Police and firefighters from multiple departments responded to the blaze at a Bayview Avenue home at 11:45 a.m.

All the occupants were able to safely escape the blaze, but the home was badly damaged.

Firefighters battled the fire for 45 minutes under frigid weather conditions until it was finally under control.
