West Babylon High Recognizes World AIDS Day
Sudents join the global community by showing compassion for those suffering with HIV/AIDS.
West Babylon Senior High School students joined the global community by showing compassion for those suffering with HIV/AIDS on World AIDS Day.
“We have tried to place the focus of the program on the positive and the accomplishments that have been achieved with this epidemic, as well as the advances that have taken place,” World AIDS Day program advisor Brianne Hyer said.
This year’s theme, “Getting to Zero,” was translated to the stage through the performances, as well as through student videos and featured artwork. A candle-lighting ceremony kicked off the event.
