West Babylon Kindergarteners Study Hibernation
Students at the Santapogue Elementary learned about process of hibernation during the winter.

Kindergarten students in Susan Mahon's class at Santapogue Elementary School in the West Babylon School District have enjoyed learning about the process of hibernation.
The young students discovered what it means to hibernate, which animals participate in the practice and why, and how to use the word appropriately in a sentence.
Students enhanced their learning further by reading books about hibernation and creating their own shelters for a myriad of animals that would enjoy sleeping in them during the winter.
