West Babylon Names New Assistant Superintendent For Finance, Operations
Karen Horoszewski started her role on June 15 after serving in business leadership positions with the Locust Valley Central School District.

WEST BABYLON, NY — The West Babylon School District has named Karen Horoszewski as its new assistant superintendent for finance and operations.
Horoszewski began the role on June 15, district officials said.
She comes to West Babylon from the Locust Valley Central School District, where she most recently served as assistant superintendent for business beginning in September 2024. Before that, she served as Locust Valley’s school business administrator starting in 2017.

Horoszewski holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Master of Business Administration from Dowling College. She also holds a school district business leader advanced certificate.
“I pride myself on being a transparent and collaborative leader who builds strong relationships,” Horoszewski said. “Presenting financial information in a clear, accessible manner is one of my greatest strengths, allowing me to foster a culture of fiscal responsibility that is both fiscally and educationally sound.”
