Canfora dedicated nearly 50 years to the West Babylon Fire Department and served 33 years with the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office, rising to the rank of captain. His commitment to public service followed a family legacy—his father, Chief Philip Canfora Sr., was also honored with a street renaming in the community.
Supervisor Schaffer and Councilman Terence McSweeney joined fire department members and the Canfora family for the ceremony.
