After capturing first place at the county and state levels of the New York Association for Pupil Transportation School Bus Safety Poster Contest, West Babylon Senior High School ninth-grader Giuliana Grosso’s creation is now heading to judging on the national level.
The theme for 2015 contest was “Bully Free Zone” and called for submissions in the following categories: grades K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and special education. Guliana’s poster won in the 6-8 grade category, as it was submitted last year when she was at the junior high school.
The National School Bus Safety Poster Contest is sponsored each year by the National Association for Pupil Transportation, the National Association of State Directors of Pupil Transportation Services and the National School Transportation Association.
