West Babylon Students Collect Blankets and Towels For Animal Shelter

Students at John F. Kennedy Elementary School in West Babylon collected dozens of blankets and towels for the Babylon Animal Shelter.

WEST BABYLON, NY — West Babylon students are giving back to four-legged friends in need.

Fourth and fifth grade student council members at John F. Kennedy Elementary School in the West Babylon recently ran a blanket and towel drive for shelter pets, the district announced on Wednesday.

The students collected gently used towels and blankets from March 28 through April 6, a press release said.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Yiendhy Farrelly also lent a helping hand in collecting the items, the district said.

All the items collected will be donated to the Babylon Animal Shelter.
