West Babylon Students Thrive In State Envirothon Competition
West Babylon had three teams representing the district at this year's Envirothon competition.

WEST BABYLON, NY — West Babylon Students got into the spirit of conservation just in time for Earth Day on April 22.
On April 17, three teams from West Babylon Senior High School Environmental Club competed in an Envirothon competition, an environmental and natural resources conservation leadership experience and academic competition for high school students directed by the National Conservation Foundation.
Along with other students from Nassau and Suffolk counties, they learned about Long Island wildlife, forestry, aquatics, soil and current topics in energy and the environment, a school rep said.

West Babylon Senior High School team members included Olivia Stuart, Aminah Booker, Ashley Gil, Jennise Gomez, Alura Liles, Nicole Rex, Magdalena Obrycki, Claire Higgins, Mansimaar Birk, Will Horowitz, David Aguilar, Greg Almonacid, Chris Alexiadis and Philip Dolega.
