Woman Arrested After Trying to Flee Scene of West Babylon Crash in Stolen Minivan: Police
BREAKING: The woman was arrested on Wednesday night.
A Bay Shore woman was arrested after trying to flee the scene of a crash in a stolen minivan in West Babylon on Wednesday night, according to Suffolk Police.
At about 9:10 p.m., an officer was on patrol in Bay Shore when he saw a 2006 Honda Odyssey minivan run a red light on Hubbards Path as it was heading northbound, police said.
The officer pursued the car briefly until the car went through a second red light and crashed into a 2002 Lincoln while trying to turn east at the intersection of the Sunrise Highway Service Road, police said.

The two occupants of the Honda fled the scene, police said.
The third occupant, identified as 32-year-old Faith Allen, 32, was transported to a local hospital to be checked out and was released, police said.

The driver of the 2002 Lincoln was also taken to a local hospital, police said.
Allen was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and is being held at the Fourth Precinct pending her arraignment on Thursday.
