• Hochul announces $80 million in flood mitigation grants (saratogian.com) — Ballston Spa is set to receive a $50,000 state grant to plan wastewater and flood-resilience upgrades, part of Gov. Kathy Hochul’s $80 million climate-focused infrastructure package. The funding helps local officials design projects that can later qualify for larger construction dollars, aiming to modernize aging sewer systems and better protect homes and businesses from increasingly intense storms.
   

• Guilderland boys' soccer wins — Thursday's Section 2 scores (dailygazette.com) — Ballston Spa boys’ soccer fell 2–0 to Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake in Thursday’s Suburban Council action, one of several Section 2 matchups across the region. Guilderland, Shenendehowa, Albany, Colonie, and Bethlehem also notched wins, alongside a slate of other league and nonleague victories and shutouts for area schools.
