19-Year-Old Killed In Early-Morning Bay Shore Crash: Police
The man's Subaru struck a utility pole and rolled onto a commercial property early Friday, police say.
BAY SHORE, NY — A 19-year-old Bay Shore man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning, Suffolk police said.
Owen McKeown was driving a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek east on Orinoco Drive at about 4:05 a.m. when the vehicle struck a utility pole and rolled onto a commercial property at 655 Orinoco Drive, police said.
McKeown was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic from Bay Shore-Brightwaters Rescue Ambulance, police said.

The Subaru was impounded for a safety check, police said.
Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 631-854-8352.
