BAY SHORE, NY — Two people were injured in a Bay Shore crash involving a ride-share vehicle Tuesday night, Suffolk County police said.

According to police, 24-year-old Nathan Pamphile of Brentwood was driving a 2011 Nissan Altima for Lyft when he stopped the vehicle at a red light facing eastbound in the left turn lane on Spur Drive South. Nelson Galindo-Orellana, 32, was driving a 2007 Dodge Ram westbound at 9:43 p.m; police said he went through a red light and struck the Nissan, causing the Dodge to overturn and roll several times before coming to a stop on the south side of Spur Drive South.

Galindo-Orellana was taken to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said. A 17-year-old Lyft passenger in the Nissan was also brought to the same hospital for minor injuries; Pamphile was not injured, police said.
