28-Year-Old Bicyclist Critically Injured, Struck By Car
A 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe struck the man Thursday morning in Bay Shore, police say.
BAY SHORE, NY — A 28-year-old bicyclist was critically injured after being struck by a car Thursday morning in Bay Shore, Suffolk County Police said.
A 25-year-old driver in a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe was going eastbound on Howells Road at the intersection of Lombardy Boulevard at 12:20 a.m. when the vehicle struck the man in the roadway, police said.
The bicyclist was taken to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore in critical condition; the driver was not injured, police said.

No charges were filed, and the Chevrolet was impounded for a safety check, police said.
