LI man runs onto field with Palestinian flag at Yankees-Mets 25th 9/11 anniversary game in the Bronx, NYPD says (newsday.com) — A Bay Shore man was arrested after running onto the field at Yankee Stadium during Friday's 25th anniversary 9/11 game between the Yankees and Mets while carrying a Palestinian flag, police said. He was charged with trespassing and interfering with a professional sporting event, then released with a desk appearance ticket after the sold-out game in the Bronx.
3. Bay Shore Man Charged After 65-Year-Old Stabbed in Neck During Amityville Church Meeting (town.news) — A Bay Shore man was arrested Friday night after police say he stabbed a 65-year-old during a meeting at an Amityville church, then was found on Ackerson Boulevard in Bay Shore less than two hours later. The victim suffered serious neck injuries but survived, and the suspect now faces a first-degree assault charge while Suffolk County detectives continue investigating what led up to the attack.
4. Weekend Wrap-Up: CDC Closed the Largest Cyclospora Outbreak in American History at 12,883 Sick. FDA Closed a Romaine E. coli File and Named No Grower.
