Bay Shore Man Charged With Failing To Take Care Of Pit Bull: SPCA
The 1-year-old old dog was found malnourished and covered in fleas, the SPCA says.

BAY SHORE, NY - A Bay Shore man was charged with failing to provide food, water and veterinary care to his pit bull on Monday, according to the Suffolk County SPCA.
Vernon Hart III, 22, was charged with misdemeanor animal neglect of Remi, his 1-and-a-half year-old female pit bull, the SPCA said.
The dog was found malnourished and covered with fleas. She is currently being treated at a veterinary hospital.

In addition, Hart was also charged with resisting arrest, the SPCA said.
