Bay Shore Man Charged In String Of 9 Suffolk Burglaries: Police

Anthony Myles burglarized businesses by kicking in the front doors and stealing property from Bay Shore to Mastic, police said.

BAY SHORE, NY — A 57-year-old Bay Shore man is facing charges related to a string of nine commercial burglaries between Bay Shore and Mastic, Suffolk County police said.

Following an investigation, detectives learned that since June 3, Anthony Myles burglarized nine businesses by kicking in the front doors and then stealing property, police said.

Myles was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary in the First Precinct; another six counts in the 3rd; and one count in the 7th Precinct.

The burglaries took place at the following locations:

  • Church of God on Pine Aire Drive in North Bay Shore on June 3 at about 10:20 a.m.
  • iLoveKickboxing on Eastbound Sunrise Highway in Bay Shore on June 30 at about 12:35 a.m.
  • Lori’s Dance Center on East Main Street in East Islip on July 1 at about 12:15 a.m.
  • Subway on 5th Avenue in North Bay Shore on July 7 at about 11:35 p.m.
  • Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church on Straight Path in Wyandanch on July 9 at about 5:05 a.m.
  • Dominican Restaurant on Deer Park Avenue in Deer Park on July 26 at about 1:05 a.m.
  • Legworks Dance Studio on Montauk Highway in Mastic on July 27 at about 1:10 a.m.
  • Best Kitchen on Udall Road in West Islip on Aug. 7 at about 4:05 a.m.
  • Dream Style Barber on Sunrise Highway in Bay Shore on Aug. 14 at about 11:30 p.m.

Myles will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Sept. 3.
