Bay Shore Man Murdered Near LIRR Station: Police

BAY SHORE, NY — Suffolk County police are investigating the murder of a 34-year-old Bay Shore man who was found unconscious early Sunday in the north parking lot of the Bay Shore Long Island Rail Road station.

Third Precinct officers on patrol discovered Yolandus Pratt in the parking lot at 6 Railroad Plaza at about 2:30 a.m., police said.

Pratt, who police said was the victim of violence, was taken to South Shore University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
