Bay Shore Man Stabbed Man, 70, In Argument: Police
The victim was transported to a local hospital; Anthony Cook, 35, was charged with second-degree assault, police said.
BAY SHORE, NY — A Bay Shore man stabbed a 70-year-old landlord with a kitchen knife during an argument on Tuesday, Suffolk police said.
Police said that just after 1 p.m., Anthony Cook stabbed the landlord inside the living room of a home on Udall Road. Officers responded and transported the man to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip with “non-life-threatening injuries,” police said.
Cook, 35, “initially hid from police,” but he was found “a short time later hiding in a closet,” and he was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore for evaluation, police said.

Cook was charged with second-degree assault and he will be held overnight at the Third Precinct for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Aug. 11.
