Bay Shore Restaurant Shuts Down 5 Months After Opening
The business announced the closure in a Facebook post on Monday.

BAY SHORE, NY - A new Bay Shore restaurant announced it will be closing down on Monday after less than 6 months in business.
The barbecue joint, Fatwood Southern Kitchen, opened last July on 150 E. Main Street.
In a Facebook post, the business announced the closure and thanked customers.

"It’s been fine like swine and fun while it lasted," the post read. "Thank you to everyone that supported us this past year."
Fatwood appears to be closed effective immediately. A message on the website already reads "closed" as of Tuesday morning.

Several people commented on the post expressing surprise that the restaurant was closing. Others wrote about how delicious the food was.
"You had the best ribs I’ve ever had outside of Memphis," one person commented. "Sorry to see you close."
Fatwood also made another post to state that all activated but unused gift cards will automatically be refunded.
