Bay Shore Robotics Team Celebrates Major Accomplishments

Congratulations to the team!

(Bay Shore HS )

From Bay Shore High School: The Bay Shore High School Robotics team is celebrating two major accomplishments they've achieved at this point in the 2019 season. The team is currently celebrating their 20th anniversary season. While many teams on Long Island have lost support over the years and have folded, Bay Shore has held onto their team because of local businesses and community members that have helped to ensure its sustainability and success. Recently, the team attended the Finger Lakes Regional at Rochester Institute of Technology. There the team worked extremely hard. They attended every qualification match as a defense robot and focused on getting in the way of the opposing team to prevent them from scoring points. This strategy paid off in the end. The team was chosen by the number one seed alliance that was made up of team 870 (R.I.C.E) from Southold and Ranger Robotics from Spencerport, New York. The three team alliance went undefeated through the quarterfinals. In semifinals they achieved a victory with a score of 93 to 76. They did a great job and congrats to all members!
