Police ID Body Found In Great South Bay
A boater found the body Tuesday night, police say.

UPDATE 11:55 p.m.: The body found was that of 59-year-old Jose Espino-Perez, police said. Espino-Perez was homeless and his death appears to be non-criminal in nature, police said.
The investigation is continuing and police are asking anyone with information to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392.
BAY SHORE, NY – A body was found in the Great South Bay Tuesday night, Suffolk Police said. The discovery was made shortly after 7 p.m. off Bay Shore near Nicky's On The Bay restaurant.

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating. Police have not yet released any other information.
On April 30, a ferry crew found the body of 43-year-old Jose Perez Ramirez, of Patchogue, in the bay off Sayville. His cause of death is still under investigation, but it appears non-criminal, police have said.
