CVS Announces Plans to Open New Bay Shore Store

CVS recently announced they are planning on opening a new drugstore in Bay Shore in 2017, according to a report in Long Island Business News.

Construction will begin on the store located on the 34,000-square-foot building on 1760 5th Avenue currently owned and occupied by South Shore Outdoor in March.

Currently, there are two CVS stores in the Bay Shore area: on 1401 5th Avenue and 80 Montauk Highway.

"It’s rare for CVS to find this kind of location,” Ken Schuckman, president of Schuckman Realty, who brokered the sale of the Bay Shore site and the lease for CVS, told LIBN. “This is one of the few untapped markets for them.”
