Driver Arrested In Hit-And-Run That Seriously Injured Woman: SCPD
A 78-year-old man was charged in connection to a hit-and-run in Bay Shore earlier this week, police said.

BAY SHORE, NY — A 78-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday as the driver in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Bay Shore earlier this week, according to Suffolk Police.
Edward Kadir was driving a 2013 Toyota Venza when the vehicle struck 74-year-old Mary Barbato, of Bay Shore, on Monday at 6:15 a.m., police said.
The Toyota has been impounded for evidence.

Detectives charged Kadir, also of Bay Shore, with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident with serious physical injury. He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on March 3.
