And the Emmy Goes To...

Local Islip Resident Wins Emmy Award for Role on The Dr. Oz Show

Sasha Mitchell-Fuller, Town of Islip resident and segment producer for The Dr. Oz Show, recently joined the show’s team to accept an Emmy Award during the 44th Annual Daytime Emmy Award ceremony. On April 30, 2017, The Dr. Oz Show won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Informative Talk Show, competing against other popular shows including The Steve Harvey Show, The Chew, The Kitchen, and Larry King Now.

“It was such an honor to be on stage at the Daytime Emmy Awards with my dedicated colleagues and accept this iconic symbol of recognition,” said Sasha Mitchell-Fuller. “I’ve been involved in producing TV shows for many years, but this is the first time in my career I’ve been a part of a show that was not only nominated but won an Emmy. It’s a moment I’ll remember for the rest of my life.”

Sasha has been a part of the Dr. Oz team for more than four years where she serves as one of the show’s segment producers. Prior to joining The Dr. Oz Show, Sasha served as an associate producer for both The Tyra Banks Show and The Montel Williams Show.
