Flyers From White Supremacist Group Discovered In Islip, Bay Shore

Flyers from white supremacists groups have been found in the Islip and Bay Shore area earlier this week, Suffolk Police confirmed.

In a statement Assistant Police Commissioner Justin Meyers said that police have been notified about the flyers posted on Monday.

"While these flyers are protected speech under the first amendment, anytime hateful speech or materials that could incite violence are distributed in Suffolk County the SCPD looks into them," he said.

Two flyers from the group, Vanguard America, of two white faces with the words “we have a right to exist" were discovered in Bay Shore as well as the Islip train station, according to a report in Newsday.
