‘Freeze Your Cookies Off’: Girl Scouts Kick Off Cookie Season Across Suffolk This Weekend

SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — The Girl Scouts of Suffolk County are braving the winter cold to kick off the 2026 Girl Scout Cookie season with a special “Freeze Your Cookies Off” promotion this weekend.

Girl Scouts will host in-person booth sales at multiple locations across Suffolk County throughout the day on Saturday, Jan. 31, and Sunday, Feb. 1, marking the official start of the annual cookie-selling season.

Bundled in their warmest Scouting gear, Girl Scouts will set up tables and displays outside local businesses, inviting community members to support their local troops while stocking up on favorite cookies.

  • Saturday, Jan. 31, 11 a.m.–3 p.m. — Troop 3823 at Lidl, 531 Montauk Highway, West Babylon
  • Sunday, Feb. 1, 11 a.m.–2 p.m. — Troop 904 at South Shore Mall

This year’s cookie lineup includes classic favorites such as Thin Mints, Samoas (Caramel deLites) and Tagalongs (Peanut Butter Patties), along with the new Exploremores cookie — a rocky road-inspired sandwich featuring chocolate, marshmallow, and toasted almond-flavored crème.

The 2026 cookie season runs through April, with booth sale availability varying by location. Customers can find nearby booth sales or order online using the Cookie Locator on the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County website.
