High School Teacher's Assistant Accused Of Raping Student
The employee at the Suffolk County high school began the inappropriate relationship when the student was 14 years old, police say.

BAY SHORE, NY — A Bay Shore High School teacher's assistant was charged with raping a 15-year-old student on Thursday, according to Suffolk Police.
Marcus Johnson, 27, of Bay Shore was arrested at about 6:30 p.m. by detectives from the Special Victims Section following an investigation into the inappropriate relationship, police say. The abuse started when the victim was 14 years old, police say.
Johnson works as a teacher’s assistant for children with autism, police said. The victim was not one of his students, police say.

He was charged with second- and third-degree rape and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the Special Victims Section at 631-852-6531.

Johnson is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.
