Homeless Man Critically Injured After Being Struck By 2 Cars: PD
The 51-year-old was hospitalized with critical injures after being hit by two cars in North Bay Shore Tuesday night.
NORTH BAY SHORE, NY — A homeless man was critically injured after being struck by two cars in North Bay Shore on Tuesday night, according to Suffolk Police. A 47-year-old Bay Shore man was driving a 2009 Infiniti sedan northbound in the left lane of Fifth Avenue, near the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue, when his car struck a pedestrian at 8:25 p.m., police said.
The pedestrian was then struck by a northbound 2011 Hyundai sedan, driven by a 48-year-old Bay Shore woman, who was driving in the right lane, about to turn eastbound onto Wisconsin Avenue, police said.
The pedestrian, 51-year-old Ruben Estrada, was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore in critical but stable condition. The two drivers were not injured.
