Homeowner Injured In Bay Shore House Fire
The injured man suffered from burns on his feet in the fire that broke out Friday night.
BAY SHORE, NY — A house fire broke out at a Bay Shore home on Friday night. Suffolk Police confirmed that the blaze was reported at a Sylvan Street at 11:40 p.m.
The Bay Shore Fire Department responded and found that the blaze spread from the back of the house up into the attic. All occupants had evacuated.
The homeowner suffered burns to his feet and was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment by the Bay Shore Brightwaters Rescue Ambulance, according to the fire department.

The fire was quickly brought under control by the units on scene. Members of the West Islip Fire Department, the Islip Fire Department and Brentwood Fire Department also responded to assist.
News12 reports that some sources say that the fire may have been caused by the solar panels that are on the roof of the home.
