Man Arrested For Crashing Into, Burglarizing Gas Station: SCPD
The 42-year-old was charged with the burglary that occurred early Wednesday morning, police say.

BAY SHORE, NY - A Bay Shore man was arrested for crashing his car through a Bay Shore gas station and stealing items from the business on Wednesday, according to Suffolk Police.
Robert Persad, 42, intentionally drove a 2001 Hyundai sedan into the front of Sunoco Gas Station Food Mart on 1400 Brentwood Road at about 3:20 a.m., police said.
He then exited the vehicle, stole merchandise and fled the scene in the Hyundai, police said.

Following an investigation by detectives, Persad was arrested on Bay Shore Avenue in Deer Park at 10:07 p.m., police said.
He was charged with third degree burglary and second degree criminal mischief.

He was held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday morning.
