Man Charged After Car Smashes Into Long Island Taco Bell: PD
Police say the man fled the crash on foot early Sunday.

ISLIP, NY — A Bay Shore man has been charged after he crashed his vehicle into a Long Island Taco Bell early Sunday and he fled the scene on foot, Suffolk County police said.
Jared Higgins, 29, of Bay Shore, was arrested at 2:15 p.m. on Sunday and charged with leaving the scene of a crash with property damage, police said.
The crash occurred around 3:20 a.m. at the fast food restaurant at 490 Main St. in Bay Shore, police said. There were three employees inside the restaurant at the time; no injuries were reported, police said.

The Islip Fire Department, under the direction of Chief Pfuhl, responded to the scene and found a 2017 Nissan Altima had crashed through the west wall and window of the Taco Bell, officials said.
