Man Drove With Almost 4X Legal BAC Limit: Suffolk County Sheriff
The man was arrested in Bay Shore after officials noticed his car swerving, deputies say.

BAY SHORE, NY — A Central Islip man was arrested and charged early Wednesday morning after he drove with a blood alcohol content almost four times over the legal limit, the Suffolk County Sheriff’s department said.
Bryan Mora, 25, who had a prior conviction for driving while intoxicated, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a felony, the Suffolk County Sheriff’s department said.
At 2:20 a.m., deputies observed Mora driving a vehicle on 5th Avenue in Bay Shore, authorities sai. He failed to maintain his lane of travel by swerving over the white hash marks separating the lanes of travel several times, officials said.

Deputies stopped the vehicle; Mora performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests and police determined that indicated he was intoxicated, authorities said. At about 2:45 a.m., Mora was arrested and taken to 100 Center Drive in Riverhead where he submitted to a chemical breath test resulting in a .30 percent BAC.
In New York State, the legal BAC is 0.08 percent.
